...and all I have to say is that The Blakes fucking rocked AGAIN, not that that's surprising at all.
The trouble in opening up*

I really liked all of the new songs. I missed Nineteen though, but I definitely think that NOT opening with Used was a good idea. It's just kind of too slow to get things going, you know?
Right after The Trouble in Opening Up, Chris went into the drum part for Anybody Listening and I was like "fucka sweet!" This was before I left to go around with the mailing list and cds. Paul talked for a bit, and they went right into Anybody Listening. Camillecamsi, Claire groupiemedea, and I rocked out. That's my favorite song. Sometime during this song I noticed the set list in front of me. Heh. Camille said she wanted me back up front to rock out with her for Hysterical, but, since it was only a song away, I was like "I totally can't, sorry." But anyway, after much jumping and jubilation during Anybody Listening, it was over. In the short quiet, I shouted "I fuckin love that song!" and yeah, that's the truth.
So, next was Something Good. I was walking through the crowd doing the mailing list, so I couldn't focus on it, but I didn't hear anything bad. Great song too. Hysterical I was singing along to, nothing new there. I'm singing along to all of them anyway. Then, Without You was pretty hot tonight too.
Say Yes was the next song, and it was new. I really liked it. Chris had told me that there were a lot of cool drumming in the new songs, and although I don't remember them specifically anymore, my vague recollection is that there were some pretty hot drum parts and other stuff too. Camille said she really liked this song.
Then, This December. How could I not fucking rock to this one? I mean, we made our video to this song. : ) But yeah, really really awesome. Great song, and great performance. Next was another new song, Trespassing, and it was pretty cool. Then, because "The natives are getting restless" they played "the hit," New Tattoo. It was very good tonight.
The show fucking rocked. That is all I can say. It was really good. If any of the guys see this, you were so on. I was amazed. My friends Vykie, Katie britishhurdler, and Ben came too, and they'd never seen them before, Katie and Vyki have heard a few songs with me, but Ben was a Blakes "virgin." Vyki and Katie were both like "they are really good." After the set, Ben stepped out of the crowd up to me and was like "They were really fucking good, you KNOW these guys?" It was cool.
So yeah. Also fun was when Ben complained about there being no good music on the radio on Saturday nights cuz of the bad club music all the stations play. Camille and I then proceeded to treat the entire car to our renditions of various Blakes songs. Great fun. : )
So yeah, any questions/comments, please let me know!
